League fixtures released

| By Stephen King

We start away at Leighton Town on August 9th

Our first away start to a league programme for three years is quickly followed by a midweek home game with Stotfold on August 12th. With a possible FA Cup tie intervening we are not in league action again until the weekend of August 23rd. That sees us travel for the first time ever to London Lions before the August Bank Holiday Monday game at home to Hertford.

Our return match with Hertford comes on December 27th (it’s a Saturday rather than Boxing Day Friday) whilst the first game of 2026 sees us at home to Biggleswade on January 3rd.

For those of a historical inclination, Tuesday, 28th October will see our first league match with Hitchin in almost a hundred years, the last being on 20th October 1928.

In addition to London Lions we also meet Milton Keynes Irish for the first time ever with games on September 13th (away) before they come to us on November 29th.

Meanwhile, those who think that fixture computers can be a little unimaginative will find ammunition in our final league game of the season which is at Beaconsfield. It’s a repeat of last season’s final game.
