We’re up for the Cup this Thursday at Wadham Lodge, Walthamstow where we meet West Essex in the preliminary round of the FA Youth Cup. Memories of recent meetings with EFL sides including an away win over MK Dons youth team whet the appetite for more.
But there are also league games throughout the season and success in these has been no less notable. Our under-18s have been divisional champions in three of the last four seasons and went on to win the Eastern Junior Alliance overall title in 2021/2.
Our teams in other age groups have also enjoyed success with the under-16s also being overall EJA champions for their age group in 2021/2. The Herts FA Challenge Cup has been won on numerous occasions by our teams at different age levels.
We are also seeing former youth players taking their place in the senior ranks – check out Sami Moutawafiq’s performances this season in the first team. So there’s a lot of good football to see at every level.
Fixtures, results and league tables are all available on the FA’s Full-time pages via our website. Go to the “Teams” pull down menu form the front page and select the relevant age group.
The first league games are this coming Sunday with the under-18s at home to Cheshunt at 2pm whilst the others face away matches. Entry for these Sunday youth games is free and the tea bar and club room are always open.
