Our opponents

Hadley are now in their fourth season at Step 4 and it’s been a successful time for them.  They’ve finished ninth, eighth and last season fifth in the table which took them into the play-offs.  They’ll be looking to do at least as well this season and are no longer distracted by involvement in the FA Trophy.

Form guide

Hadley’s two most recent games have seen them pick up six points from wins at Hertford and home to Enfield.  Before that however they lost at Isthmian North strugglers Tilbury in the Trophy and heavily at home to MK Irish in the league.  Not much to go on there.  They are currently eighth in the table, four points behind us but with a game in hand.

Ware remain unbeaten away from home since the first day of the season when we came a cropper at Leighton Town.  After dropping a point on Saturday and three last Tuesday at home to Hitchin we need to pick up momentum again.  We approach that aim still without Jack Grosvenor and Herbie Townsend but have strengthened recently with the return of Johnny Allotey and Gucci Soulya-Osekanongo.

Previous Meetings

We first met in a pre-season friendly in 1982 (a 1-1 draw with John Harding scoring our goal).  Our league record is pretty much all square with two wins, two draws and two defeats.  Two is the number with them as they have twice removed us from both the Herts Senior Cup and the FA Trophy.  You will remember September’s 5-1 home defeat in the Trophy when keeper Max Woodford was sent off in the first five minutes.  We will hope to do better in this game.
