Former manager is England's top scorer in four nations tournament.

You can’t keep a good man down.

Glen Alzapiedi (second from right in the photo), the manager who took us to the Isthmian Division Two championship, the first round proper of the FA Cup, the Isthmian division one play-offs and the Herts Senior and Charity Cup finals has gone back to his playing days.

The former Birmingham City youth player (get him to tell you about his tackle on a young Norman Whiteside in the FA Youth Cup) has played senior football for a number of clubs.  For Ware he made 225 appearances and scored 48 goals from midfield.

Now he’s top scorer for England in the four nations tournament recently held in Spain.
