Charity Walk for DementiaUK

| By Stephen King

Join the walk to Hertford or sponsor the event

Pete Hill has for a long time been proactive in providing support for those working in the field of dementia and promoting a better understanding of dementia itself.  Now he and his broadcast partner Symon Allemandy are making a charity walk on the day of our game at Hertford.  Anyone is welcome to join them from Wodson Park to Hertingfordbury Park and of course also help raise funds for DementiaUK.

The walk will start from Ware football club and proceed into the town from where it will join the tow path along the River Lea.  So they’re taking the scenic route offering something of a pleasing stroll.  The aim is to reach Hertingfordbury Park by 1:30.  That leaves plenty of time for those accompanying Peter and Symon to get a drink and for the two men themselves to get their commentary position ready for the match.

Walking or not we encourage you to dig deep in support of this worthy cause.

Why support Dementia UK?

Every 90 minutes 30 people in the UK are diagnosed with dementia – it’s one of the biggest health challenges of our time. Families affected are often left feeling exhausted and overwhelmed and don’t know where to turn. But with the support of an Admiral Nurse and Dementia UK, families facing the fear and confusion of dementia know they’re not alone.
