This is the tenth time we have been drawn against Hitchin in the Charity Cup. They have gained the better of us in all nine previous meetings so there is something to aim for on Tuesday night.
Once again we are away from home. Only twice have we had home advantage in these meetings and one of those was a second replay. Yes, replays in the Charity Cup, who remembers those? This tie will be settled by a penalty shoot out if necessary.
We did meet once in the final, again at Top Field but lost 3-1 in April 1979. Danny Perry scored our goal.
