The match
We come to the most testing of the last matches left of the regular season. Our penultimate away game takes us to Biggleswade by way of Bedford. Our hosts are lying fourth in the table with only three teams able to overtake and deny them a finish in the play-offs. Those teams are Barton Rovers (at a pinch), Hertford and ourselves. They will be looking to eliminate us from that list with a victory. A draw will keep us in the hunt but a win will be better.
Form guide
Biggleswade are four games undefeated with their last two home matches being won by an aggreagte score of 15-2. We are now six without a loss and whilst we have not been knocking the goals in with quite the same regularity we have conceded only three goals in those six games.
Previous Meetings
Biggleswade are a relatively young club so we have only met since they came up to Step 4 at the start of the 2021/2 season. That covers four seasons during which there were five draws whilst both sides won two games (one of ours was the play-off semi-final of 2023). Looking at our average level in the final league table for those four seasons we come out at sixth and Biggleswade at seventh. There’s not a lot between us though we did lose this season’s home game 1-0 back in January.
