The visitors fielded the same starting eleven that had won at Biggleswade the previous weekend. Ware made a number of changes to the side that had drawn at Milton Keynes. It was the visitors who took control with a first half hat trick form Alex Wall, a player with significant National League experience. He was too much for the home defence and made a major difference to the game, knocking in goals with remarkable regularity (on 5, 28 and 45 minutes) whilst Ware were unable to convert their chances.
Second half changes and possibly the sense that the outcome had already been decided produced a more even contest but Ware continued to scorn any chanes that came their way.
