The match
Always a tricky place to go, the Eyrie has presented Ware with problems on most of their visits whether that be to meet Bedford Town or in this case their tenants Biggleswade. We’ve recorded just one win against each. Always a welcome though from Biggleswade who can be relied upon to know the difference between what happens on the pitch and what happens socially.
This match is taking place on the Saturday before Remembrance Sunday. A minute’s silence before kick off can be expected.
Form guide
After a decent start to the season which saw them well up in the play-off places a run of four defeats has dropped Biggleswade to thirteenth in the table. Worse, those four games have seen them score just twice and concede thirteen. That number again, unlucky indeed. On the face of it they’ve hit the kind of form that dogged us until recently.
So what about us? Nine points from our last six games whilst not yet play-off form is a marked improvement. We still have injury worries but Herbie Townsend is now back playing whilst Jack Grosvenor and Finlay Titchmarsh can’t be far off a return to fitness.
Previous Meetings
There have been eleven, all in the Southern League, the odd number being due to the play-off semi-final of 2023. If you want to relive that match the report and video is here on our old website. That was one of only two wins against Biggleswade though there have been five drawn matches. There have also been a couple of heavy defeats the worst of which was last season’s 5-1 set back. Paul Halsey will be wanting a better outcome than that on Saturday. So will we all.

There are three league games at Wodson on Sunday with the first at 10am when the under -16s welcome Cockfosters. At midday the under-17s meet Harpenden Town before at 2pm the under-18s face league leaders Potters Bar. I know you know this but just in case I’ll say it again.
